Kristin and Aaron are such an amazing couple. I had an amazing time traveling to Ft. Gordon, Georgia to photograph this special memory for them. Although the day started off with rain and gloomy skies, the day ended with nothing but sun rays and smiling faces. I am so thankful to have been apart of their engagement if even in the smallest way.
Aaron is the definition of a true southern gentleman, born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia. He is such an amazingly sweet, kind, and faithful gentleman who serves the Lord fearlessly. His heart is huge and loves without regret.
In 2016 Aaron called me with news of "the latest" girlfriend Kristin. Being the overprotective sister, I was not too thrilled, but the excitement in his voice had me intrigued. I had never heard Aaron quite so excited about anyone before. He spent the majority of the phone call praising her and her roots. Although winning my approval would be no easy task, I had a feeling she was the one.
Kristin is currently a Georgia Southern University Nursing student from Claxton, Georgia. Her smile is contagious and her positivity is addictive. She is possibly the most precious person I have ever met in my entire life. I am tickled pink to be gaining her as a sister.
Being restricted to base did not stop Aaron from planning a super thoughtful proposal. With his older sister being a photographer he knew he had to have it photographed, but he was not quite sure how to completely keep Kristin clueless. He eventually decided to book a photoshoot to disguise the proposal.
Eager to watch my brother make this huge step in life, I rushed to Ft. Gordon. As soon as I drove out of Athens it began to rain! Aaron did not allow this to change his mind. He knew in his heart that this would be the day he asked Kristin to marry him, and he intended on doing just that come rain or shine. We decided to postpone the shoot and grab a bite to eat. Thankfully just 3 hours later the storm had blown completely over leaving us an afternoon with a slight overcast.
We began our session at the horse stables, with the assistance of the horses of course.
After our shoot at the stables we decided to go view the pond. Aaron's nerves continued to grow, but he was a trooper and handled it so well. As the shoot evolved into the proposal, you could truly see the love Kristin and Aaron share. They have a unique relationship, complimenting each other in every way.
